Please join us on Thursday, September 30th, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at our Barrington store for a fun and exciting tasting spotlighting some of the very best offerings from California. We’ll be pouring over 35 delicious high-end wines including the excellent Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays of Santa Barbara County, the juicy reds of the Central Coast, the classic Cabernet Sauvignons of Napa Valley and Sonoma, the sparkling wines of Mendocino, and so much more! You’ll be able to taste many of California’s premier producers such as Caymus, Larkmead, Robert Biale, and Ridge just to name a few. A light selection of meats and cheeses will be provided to complement the wines. Cost is only $35 per person and space is limited so make your reservations today. We hope to see you there! |

A Taste of BYOB! |

On Wednesday, September 15th, we will host eight BYOB restaurants at our Elston Avenue store. Each will serve a delicious dish representative of their cuisine and the Wine Discount Center will pair three different wines selected to perfectly compliment the food. It will be a casual walk-around event, and promises to be a great showcase of some of the best chefs in Chicago, as well as a whole lot of fun. So far we have 7 of the best BYO's in Chicago lined up: Mado, Sweets & Savories, Chilam Balam, Nori Sushi, Urban Belly/Belly Shack, Treat and Bon Soiree! One more BYO hot spot will be added, rounding out what will be one of the best food and wine events of the year! To make things charitable, $10 of each ticket sold, as well as 10% of the event's proceeds, will benefit the Chicago Food Depository. |
